Dr. Sudhir Naik

Dr. Sudhir G Naik is a senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 27 years of experience. He is recognized as a specialist in high-risk pregnancies and complicated vaginal deliveries. His experience of 15 years as a fertility & IVF consultant and board member of profert IVF has seen him successfully treat several childless couples.
He runs a dedicated Gynaecological and children’s nursing home at Goregaon east
by the name of Shree Guru Maternity and Children’s Nursing Home for the last 22
years. In 2015 he started a dedicated Endoscopic Hospital at Goregaon west by
the name Oyster Hospital. This is today a well-known advanced laparoscopic and
onco-surgery hospital along with maternity gynaecological and infertility
services. He is also a visiting consultant at cloud 9 hospital Malad west and
Surya Hospital Santa Cruz. He is an honorary visiting obstetrician and
gynaecologist at Balasaheb Thackeray municipal hospital Jogeshwari
He had a brilliant academic career with MBBS from grant medical college, Sir JJ
hospital Mumbai in 1991, and his MD degree in 1994 from Seth G S Medical College
Kem Hospital Mumbai. He is the winner of the Dr C G Saraiya and Sir Mangaldas
Mehta Gold Medal for topping the MD exams of Bombay university in 1994. He also
obtained a diploma in OB/GYN from the college of physicians and surgeons and is
also a fellow of the college of physicians and surgeons.
He was one of the founding members of the association of fellow gynecologists
which is a leading academic organization of gynecologists in the western suburbs
of Mumbai. He occupied many positions including Honourable treasurer and Honorary secretary
of the association before ascending to the post of president in 2007. He is
currently the managing trustee of the association.
He is an active member of an association of medical consultants in Mumbai which
is the largest organization of all medical specialists in the country with over
13000 members. He was honorary treasurer honorary vice president and hon secretary before
becoming the president in 2015. He is currently the chairperson of the
medicolegal cell of this association and is a leading medicolegal expert. He was
instrumental in highlighting the role of small nursing homes in healthcare in
and around Mumbai and in championing the cause of the small and medium
healthcare facilities which provide afforadable healthcare to middle-class
patients.
